Whether it’s a fruity Daiquiri, a classy Old Fashioned or an exotic margarita, there are few problems in the world that a cocktail or two won’t solve. The only problem with these delightful drinks is that after a couple, your wallet starts to really feel the strain, especially when you’re necking them back in our glorious capital. When it costs around £10 a pop for a drink that is mostly ice, we start to question the value of our purchase and think maybe we will just stick to beer or something instead, denying ourselves the pleasures of all these delicious combinations of spirits and soda. For one week of the year, London Cocktail Week to be precise, let that resentment dissolve like the sugar at the bottom of your mojito and indulge in £5 cocktails to your heart’s content. Wristbands for the entire week are just £10 and guarantee you unlimited cheap cocktails – a sound investment if we’ve ever heard one. So to get you in the mood for London Cocktail Week, let us run through some of the exciting events that will be taking place every day from the 3rd – 9th of October.
